I'm Trent Ferguson, founder of Ferguson Smart Systems and a professional software and data engineer with over four years of experience building production systems in the financial services industry — architecting cloud data platforms at a Fortune 500 bank that support more than $1 billion in mortgage originations, and full-stack applications at a national insurance carrier.
That same attention to detail goes into every project I take on. Wiring a network, setting up a smart home, installing security and access systems, deploying servers and software — I plan it out, document it, and do it properly, so you're not paying someone to redo it next year.
I'm also the solo developer behind Homescreen Hero, a software product with over 10,000 downloads and 140+ stars on GitHub. I studied Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Alabama before completing a full-stack development program at Max Technical Training.

Invoices are sent electronically and paid securely online by card or bank transfer. Card and ACH payments are processed by Stripe — I never store your card details.

How much do your services cost?
Pricing is quote-based because every project is different. After a quick discovery call I provide a written quote for project work, or an agreed hourly rate for ongoing and consulting work. You'll always know the cost before I begin.
How do I pay, and is it secure?
I send electronic invoices that you can pay online by card or bank transfer. Payments are processed securely through Stripe; I never see or store your full card details. See my Refund & Cancellation Policy for details.
